Tirupati: Sri Vidyanikethan International School (SVIS), Tirupati, founded by Dr. M. Mohan Babu, renowned actor, educationist, and Founder-Chairman of the Sri Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, has achieved a remarkable milestone by qualifying three volleyball teams for the CBSE National Volleyball Championship. Following their championship-winning performances at the Andhra Pradesh–Telangana Zone (CBSE Cluster VII), the U-17 Boys, U-19 Boys, and U-19 Girls teams will now represent the Andhra Pradesh–Telangana Cluster at the national championship.
The CBSE Cluster VII Volleyball Championship was held across two venues, with the U-17 Boys and U-19 Boys competitions hosted in Gadwal, while the U-19 Girls competition took place in Anantapur. The tournament brought together leading CBSE schools from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with teams competing for a place at the national championship.
Guided by Dr. Suman, Director of Physical Education, and Head Coach Mr. Ajit, the three SVIS volleyball teams displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament, earning qualification for the prestigious CBSE National Championships.
The SVIS Boys Volleyball Teams will compete in the CBSE National Boys Volleyball Championship, to be held in October at Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. The SVIS Girls Volleyball Team has qualified for the CBSE National Girls Volleyball Championship, scheduled to be held in October at Ludhiana, Punjab.
