Pune: In a significant move towards global academic excellence and industry collaboration, the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU), Kolhapur, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Takasago Fluidic Systems, Japan, one of the global leaders in precision fluidic control technologies. This partnership signals a new era of international research, technological advancement, and skill development for SGU’s students and faculty.

Students and faculty from SGU’s Aerospace Engineering Department will now gain direct access to advanced research opportunities and global best practices in engineering, leveraging Takasago’s longstanding reputation for innovation in the field of fluidic systems. This partnership will open new avenues for Aerospace Engineering students and faculty to engage in cutting-edge research projects and gain exposure to international best practices in engineering and technology.

Following the MoU signing, an interactive session was conducted by Dr.Haruyuki Hiratani, CEO of Takasago Fluidic Systems, engaged with Aerospace Engineering students and faculty members, sharing insights into Japanese engineering excellence, innovation culture, and emerging global industrial trends. The session fostered meaningful dialogue around collaborative research, internship opportunities, and the future of fluidic technologies in aerospace applications. Participants were inspired, with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement about the new opportunities this partnership will create.

SGU’s Department of Aerospace Engineering has long been recognized for its commitment to excellence, offering a comprehensive suite of programs including B. Tech in Aeronautical Engineering (4 years), M. Tech in Aerospace Engineering (2 years), and an innovative M. Tech Aerospace Engineering (1+1) Articulation Programme. The department boasts state-of-the-art laboratories, highly experienced faculty, and a curriculum continuously updated to meet the evolving demands of the aviation, space exploration, and defense sectors. Areas of study include Aerodynamics, Aerospace Structures, Propulsion, Space Mechanics, Aircraft Design, Avionics, UAVs, Satellite Technology, and Advanced Materials, ensuring students are well-equipped for careers in the most dynamic fields of engineering.

Additionally, SGU provides real-time experience and practical learning through dedicated aircraft and helicopter hangars, autonomous systems, and hands-on maintenance training.
